Punky Pins are rapidly creating a name for themselves within the fashion industry and further afield, with celebrities such as Peaches Geldof and Kelly Osbourne being huge fans. They have also been featured in high profile titles such as Glamour, Grazia, the Mirror, and Heat.
Strongly influenced by Japanese street fashions and bold pop art prints, Punky Pins will be exhibiting their new lines of jewellery at GILD in Margin including the Comic Book badges and necklaces pictured here.
Making their international trade show debut, Prod Leather will be showcasing their array of one-off hand screenprinted leather belts and accessories in GILD at Margin London.
With a background in graphic design and illustration, Prod create original designs and through their signature multi-layering screenprint process each item becomes an individual. In addition to their belts for men and women, the range includes wristcuffs, badges, cufflinks and earrings, all of which are hand-made from high quality materials.
With new patterns each season and a commitment to create quality, affordable accessories with a difference, Prod will be exhibiting in GILD at Margin in February 2008.
Cyclus is a range of bags, accessories and footwear with a conscience.
Distributed in the UK by Brandnativa, the Cyclus collection takes some of the millions of inner tubes that are otherwise dumped or burnt each year to recycle them into mens and womens bags, laptop bags, belts, wallets, and footwear including mens sneakers through to womens heels. Having spent time in Colombia and recognising the value of the eco-friendly products being produced there, Brandnativa returned to the UK determined to promote Colombian products. With their ethical range of recycled accessories, Cyclus will be exhibiting on the cusp of GILD, the accessores area at Margin, and TraidFare, the new area at Margin for eco-aware brands.
Making their international debut at GILD in Margin, new accessories brand Pik & Pokket aims to inject some fun, colour and visual interest into mens leather wallets.
Finally a brand takes on the humble leather wallet in the same way t-shirts and caps have been treated for decades and applies a mixture of screenprinted and embossed designs.
Taking inspiration from street & pop culture, music and film, the collection comprises a range of graphic mens cowhide leather tri-fold wallets each containing ID window, plenty of card slots, notes section & snap closure coin pocket. Pik and Pokket will be exhibiting their new range exclusively in GILD at Margin.
Exhibiting in GILD at Margin, Esska is a new casual footwear brand making unique, high quality, and comfortable ladies footwear.
Souraya Karami, the designer behind Esska, originally trained and worked as an architect before studying footwear design at the renowned Cordwainers in London. It was not only her passion for shoes that led Karami to this shift in career, but mainly the fact that she and her friends could not find the shoes they liked. Shoes that are comfortable, beautiful, feminine and not over-designed. Shoes they could wear day and night. Karami’s style is clear and unique: No embellishments, no clutter, no stilettos. The collection is created from organic silhouettes, clean lines, and dominant shapes.
Zillion will be making their UK debut in February 2008 with their range of streetwear accessories inspired by old-school Japanese Kimono fabrics. French designer David Guarino found a way to revive old Japanese traditions with a stylish streetwear twist. His brand Zillion has your usual urban apparel required items + caps, hoodies, belts, laces + but all in either colourful or minimal Kimono patterns. Whilst traditional, the rediscovered textiles become strikingly modern and desirably wearable in their new context as streetwear accessories. Margin takes place at the Vinyl Factory Gallery in London’s Foubert’s Place on February 10-12.
Teori Co is the fair-trade project of a young Mexican-Parisian designer, based on the principles of respect: for humanity by choosing to trade fairly, and for the environment by using organic cotton.
Above all, Teori Co is a fashion label and this first collection is aimed at reinventing the t-shirt. By using an original folding method, Teori Co takes the traditional structure of a t-shirt and invents comfortable and elegant new shapes for women designed in a trompe-l’oeil style.
