PIMP
We were pleased to welcome Pimp Magazine and Pimp Art who installed their art in the Magazine Lounge at Margin London in February 2008.
PIMP ART is the new artist agency and subsidiary arm of the PIMP collective. The PIMP platform has formed a roster of some of the most prolific artists worldwide, boasting highly-respected and internationally-acclaimed fine and graphic artists, graffiti writers, photographers and illustrators. The artists represented by P.I.M.P are available for client work in the UK & internationally.
The agency also offers a comprehensive design service under its subsidiary arm, Mode Design. In addition to providing innovative design through its in-house team, the design house enables clients to access an impressive roster of leading names in the contemporary art world who inherently understand the target market. Between them, the artists encompass all mediums and disciplines ensuring that not only do we have the right solution for your brand, but that the creative will sit at the forefront of contemporary culture.
The second mid-show party took place on Monday the 11th February organised by Margin exhibitors Bantum, Death Industries England, M.Y Clothing, Marmalade Ho and Regenerate, with DJ Example and Elementz, and UK Championship breakdancers Imperial Steps.
“I really enjoyed it, fantastically good show… It’s young and vibrant and everyone’s friendly as well so that’s a really good positive thing about it” + American Retro, London +
“I think it’s really great. I always attend. The August show was great but this was even more interesting. It’s a great mix.” + Get Cutie & Boy Parker, Brighton +
“Very happy to meet eco-friendly designers, that was very interesting… very cutting-edge. We came here to find some new English brands for a French website that will be dedicated only to ethical fashion, interior, and beauty items, and we were pleased to meet some people that we hadn’t met already and who themselves are interested in having some French distributors.”
+ Les Roseaux Sauvage, Paris +
“I think if you’re looking for something that’s a bit more quirky, a bit more left of centre, something that’s got a bit more vision, then this is the show to come to. I came here thinking we’d spend 45 minutes/an hour, but we’ve been here twice as long so we’ve had a really good look at everything. The vibe’s really nice, it’s quite laid-back but it’s good fun and everyone’s really happy and friendly which is what you want from a trade show. It feels really upbeat, we’ve had quite a few trade shows already this year so it’s quite hard work going round and this one just feels a bit more light-hearted, it’s just more enjoyable to come to.” + EBTM.com, Online +
“We’ve placed quite a few orders, a lot more than we do at the other shows. Today we’ve been here for about 5 hours. It’s been really good because we’re opening a new shop and we need to get a load of stuff for the new site. Everyone’s really friendly which is nice for a fashion event.”
