WhatWhenAndNow.com

We were pleased to welcome WhatWhenAndNow.com who created overview mood boards of the different show areas at Margin. The boards were on display and in the show guide at the August 2008 edition of Margin London.
www.WhatWhenAndNow.com
Conceptualised by Mickey Shariff, with Fatsarazzi as Creative Director,< What When & Now (WW&N) is an online service that has the inside track on what's hitting the street and happening on high fashion's continuously evolving horizon.
www.WhatWhenAndNow.com
Described by those in the know as “a credible WGSN”, the team at WW&N realise that by the time a “look” has got to the catwalk, it’s already happened somewhere else Whereas some trend services look to the international runways for inspiration, WW&N are at the forefront of research and realise the place to itemise future style directions is the heartbeat of a city’s clubs, events, galleries, exhibitions, and parties.
www.WhatWhenAndNow.com
What separates WW&N from other “trendologists” or style websites is their keen eye< and uncanny ability to edit what they see on the fly, and only photograph the looks that matter and point to the future; this is no scattergun approach, this is a proven and successful instinct honed over years of exposure to the best of the best, as well as the experience that comes with having worked with leading brands and blogs.
www.WhatWhenAndNow.com
WhatWhenAndNow.co.uk marries the best attributes of bloggers & coolhunters, and consultants and corporate forecasters to create a new niche, and are not afraid to speak their minds or call it like they see it. Their honest and forthright opinion is rare and sought-after, and can be accessed through their public access Daily News Blog Talk,
which is free with no censorship or advertorial, and through print as regular contributors to titles such as Drapers, the UK trade magazine.

NEWS +
Margin has expanded the show by opening up an addtional 20% of floorspace to make room for the growing number of exciting UK and International start-ups looking to exhibit in London during London Fashion Week +

By opening up a previously unused area of the Margin venue to make for a larger Magazine and Media Lounge, the February 2008 edition has grown to over 90 exhibitors to create the largest curated selection of Mens and Womens streetwear exhibitors in Central London + By hand-picking great brands that Margin considers relevant and exciting to contemporary buyers and press, Margin has created our largest show to date and a one-stop selection in the very centre of London in Soho +

Margin is well known amongst key buyers and press for providing an affordable launchpad for new labels and the February 2008 edition is no exception with over 80% of exhibitors making their global debut +

Originally established to provide a relevant showcase for upscale streetwear brands such as Dephect, Lost Property and Ames Bros, the show has expanded gradually and carefully each season to encompass additional product areas.

The sharp tailoring and elegant designerwear of the Kreateur area has been honed each season to highlight cutting-edge garments with labels such as Social Suicide, Missmilne, Emily & Fin, and Dusty.

In August, the new accessories area GILD was added to the show to focus on directional accessories ranges by new brands such as Punky Pins, Pik & Pokket, Prod, and Zillion who will be exhibiting in the February GILD.

New for February 2008, Margin has added an area for eco-aware streetwear labels called TraidFare , highlighting brands that use organic fabrics and manufacture responsibly and sustainably such as Kuyichi, Komodo, THTC, Organic Stereo, Regenerate, Rise-Up, Moly Kulte and Jumble and other ethical fashion brands.

Margin will take place on the 10th 11th & 12th February 2008 at The Vinyl Factory Gallery in Soho , map online at www.margin.tv/map

PARTIES +

MISSION + Margin exists to promote young upscale streetwear labels. The Original and the best platform for new talent for the over 6 years, Margin was established to help new labels reach a wider buying and press audience. Margin was created out of necessity. Retailers travel the world looking for the next big thing but are never going to find up-and-coming labels at a show whose costs prohibit fresh talent. The main drive of Margin was to establish a show where new young labels could find an affordable platform.

SUPERSUPER MAGAZINE LOUNGE AT MARGIN LONDON AUGUST 2007

Super Super Magazine waved their dayglo wand over the Margin London Magazine Lounge in August 2007. Visiting buyers and press were able to step into the world of Super Super as if stepping into one of the magazines spreads.

SuperSuper Magazine have revitalised the London music and fashion scene since their launch with some comparing the excitement of the issues to the early days of i-D and The Face. With a thriving music and club scene to back up the fashion, the movement is less a stylistic exercise and more a way of London life.

With Smileys set to replace the ubiquitous “Skull & Crossbones”, Margin was pleased to welcome Super Super to the show and introduce the publication to a wide range of international and UK buyers yet to unearth the fluoro delights of the magazine.
