SLOW DANCE
Making their European trade debut at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012, Slow Dance from Tokyo in Japan will be exhibiting their, quite frankly, dreamy range of womenswear. Creative pattern-cutting has produced a romantic range that is not only unique but also highly flattering with well-placed draping and swagging to hide those “problem” areas. All made in Japan from Japanese textiles, somehow Slow Dance pulls off the neat magic trick of being simultaneously relaxed yet dressy. Launched in 2009, Margin is pleased to welcome Slow Dance to the UK to present their trade debut outside of Japan as part of the long-running exchange programme with the IFF show in Tokyo.
ICHIBAN
Making their global trade debut at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012, Ichiban Clothing is a graphic-led UK streetwear label with a unique signature. With witty graphics and a wry social perspective that is rarely present in contemporary streetwear, Ichiban produces a limited-edition range of wearable art that is truly frame-worthy. The range by Ichiban, which translates to “number one” or “best”, includes tees, sweatshirts, snapbacks, and jackets.
SILENT WOOD
Silent Wood is a Moscow-based art collective known for their films, photography and art, who have now turned their talent to clothing. The debut collection consists of dresses in various fabric and colour combinations using high-quality textiles, and beautiful linings, that are comfortably simple yet elegant. Silent Wood will be making their trade debut outside of Russia at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012.
THOM WILL LOVE
Making their global trade debut at Margin, Thom Will Love is a new lifestyle brand making sports-inspired clothing for men and women. Designed and made in London from carefully-selected high quality and performance fabrics, Thom Will Love combines bold asymetric colour blocking with monochrome tones and classic shapes to create future-inspired streetwear.
CHELLE BY MICHELLE
Started in September 2011, Chelle byMichelle is a new accessories label from Singapore making their European trade debut at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012. Unique bags, purses, and wallets are crafted from genuine leathers and skins (licensed by CITES), then gilded with semi-precious stones and beads. Exotic yet perfect for everyday use, Chelle byMichelle only produce a few pieces in each colour to maintain exclusivity.
Quintessentially British and taking great pride in it’s UK manufacturing, Noose is a new range of men’s ties making their global debut at the 10 year edition of Margin in February 2012. The silk for the ties is printed and woven in England, and even the packaging and labelling are all made in the UK also. Bold witty designs and strong colours are a feature of the first collection from Noose which takes it’s inspiration from British country sports.
