Trade show Margin moves from Mayfair to Olympia 25 March 2013 | By Victoria Gallagher Young fashion trade show Margin is relocating to Olympia, after many years in Mayfair, to make it easier for buyers to get to and from the show. The decision to relocate was taken after a survey of buyers revealed a preference for the show to coincide with womenswear show Pure. As a result, Margin will run from August 4-5, and will be held at the Westminster Suite at the Hilton London Olympia Hotel, just five minutes from Pure. Previously Margin was held at different points throughout August, and was dropped entirely last year because of the Olympics. Show organiser Odysseas said: “We’re excited at the move to make the life of visitors easier, as well as the additional floorspace we’ll have to play with to fill with great new designers and brands.” Odysseas said the Westminster Suite at the Hilton London Olympia will provide Margin with 4,689 sq ft exhibition space compared to the previous venue which was 3,336 sq ft. He added: “The move will add an additional 1,353 sq ft to the show, which will allow room for more new designers to take part in Margin as well as larger space configurations.” Buyers have already responded positively to the move. Maria Telford, owner and buyer of young fashion indie Eternal Envy in Heaton Moor, said “As stalwart supporters of such a great trade show, we’re looking forward to the increased space too, to fit in even more fab designers.”
