Exhibitor Preview + The Tee Room + Craig Native
Craig Native
Raised in the ghettos of South Africa at the height of apartheid, Craig Native has been on a complex journey that inspires the collections of NATIVE. With a knee injury thwarting a professional football career, it was through activism and illustration that Craig found his true voice to create his ranges. Influenced by street life in South Africa, Native is an intelligent play on social and political realities but always with idiosyncratic humour.
As well as winning numerous fashion awards, Craig has been invited by Puma to create a range of African inspired streetwear in the lead up to the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.

There has also been a strong demand from the key buyers who regularly visit Margin who have responded well to the creative accessories collections and have been asking for more.
To distinguish and highlight these labels from the upscale streetwear and directional tailoring of Margin, the first edition of GILD will debut in August 2007 next to Margin at the Central London location of The Vinyl Factory Gallery in Soho.
